Thank you so much for all of you who came forward to help out the families in need with the wic shut down. As we have heard, WIC is up and running temporarily (hopefully the shut down ends soon) due to some emergency funding. We have had an enormous amount of items donated, so please, if you are in need, come by and help yourselves. We ask at this time that no donations other than formula are made, since we have no more room to store it. If WIC does shut its doors again, we will start accepting other food items. Right now we have 4 full boxes of baby food jars and lots of other regular foods taking up the whole store These need to go! we will continue to accept donations for formula, as we would like to keep helping the babies in need, any donations that are not picked up will be given to the food bank in provo once the shut down is lifted. Thank you for all your help, its great to see our community help in making sure no one goes without! we love our customers!

October 18th - Crones Hollow Paranormal Investigation
The event will begin at 10pm with a beating the bounds ritual to help invite the dead, next will be a paranormal investigation 101 class. After the class we will then roam the expanse of the Hollow to see what spirits can be found. Since Crone's Hollow is a space that is routinely used by local covens to do workings for the dead, you can count on finding a ghost or two, you won't want to miss this event! Doors will be locked at 10:15pm. The cost will be $35 per person. SteamHead Cafe' will be open until midnight so you can stock up on on coffee and tea!

October 19th - Grimm 2nd Year Anniversary Party and Investigation at Asylum 49!

The time is fast approaching to make a decision regarding the future of the 
Atlanta Vampire Alliance [AVA] Forum.  The AVA Forum has operated continuously 
since October 2005 (v1.0 - http://www.atlantavampirealliance.com/forums & v2.0 - 
http://www.atlantavampirealliance.com/forum) but in large measure to the growth 
of Facebook Groups (http://www.facebook.com/groups/vampirecommunitynews/) and 
mobile networking, the amount of individuals logging into and posting topics to 
the forum has sharply decreased.  The amount of time available from moderators 
has also decreased and the time elapsing between the answering of questions has 
increased.  Regardless of activity, the yearly website hosting costs remain 
static (~$285/yr) and we would appreciate any donations you're able to make via 
PayPal (research@suscitatio.com) to help offset this deficit.  

From now until December 2013 we are leaving this poll above open to voting (log 
into your account to vote) so that we can better gauge the desires of our 
existing forum participants on how best to proceed in 2014.

Brews;
Brews are made to be generally stronger herb brews than tea. Normally used in
taking the extracts from roots, bark, and berries. It tends to have a stronger and
sometimes bitter taste. When drinking you may need to mix it with a little honey for a
more palatable flavor. I suggest using the Brews when you feel you are starting to
become ill and have need of a good stiff and quick dose to ward off the illness. Brews
can be taken as enemas and douches as well as drinks, depending on the need and herb.
Abigail Welcher Witch of the Old World Book of Herbs for Magickal and Medical Purpose 8
Use 3 parts water to 1 part herb.
1. Fill a pan with cold water and stir in the herb.
2. Bring the herbs and water to a quick boil and then allow it to simmer for
30 minutes to and hour. This will allow about a third of the mixture to
boil away.
3. Strain the liquids from the herbs using a tea strainer.
4. You can now store the brew for up to 1 months.
Dose is about a half a cup 2 times a day. Can be taken hot or cold.
