Astrology for JULY 1- JULY 7
by C.A. Brooks
Breaking News: The 4th of July comes early this year! Well not exactly. The 4th arrives right on schedule, but the crackling desire for personal independence and liberation blows in a few days earlier as we gear up for a bit of fireworks as the Sun in Cancer opposes Pluto in Capricorn on Monday and squares Uranus in Aries very late on Wednesday night. Is it a coincidence it happens the same week the US celebrates the anniversary of independence? Hmmm….I wonder. Is that the theme from the Twilight Zone I hear playing in my head?

Astrologically speaking the Sun, which represent our sense of personal identity, cruises pretty quickly around the cosmos, moving through one sign in 30 days. We should find this comforting as the demanding connections this week are relatively short lived. However, in the same way an insightful 'aha' can change your life; this energy is persuasive and certainly has the same life-altering potential.

The rumbling begins on Monday evening as the Sun opposes Pluto. The most personal planet associated with ego is matched up with the heavyweight planet of transformation. We might feel circumstances way beyond our control are nevertheless both influencing and guiding our lives. We may not be able to control the waves of the ocean, but we can decide if we are going to hoist a sail and grab the wind, or alternately maintain a lower profile to minimize the drama.

On Wednesday evening, close to midnight Pacific Time, the Sun locks into a square with Uranus, the planet that breaks all the rules and is the poster child for revolution. This is especially true in the cardinal sign of Aries that exalts the pioneering spirit of the individual. What's a Sun in the sensitive family-loving sign of Cancer to do?

Like the Full Moon in Capricorn less than two weeks ago, these solar aspects highlight the need to more clearly define and express our needs as unique individuals while simultaneously considering our contribution to the family, group, team, community, country, world and universe. It's not ever an either / or proposition. To be successful and happy, we do both; although many times it seems next to impossible to do justice with equal intention and satisfaction.

Truthfully, these aspects will probably feel personally taxing. Whenever planets make difficult aspects to the Sun, life often presents situations requiring we stretch ourselves in new directions. It's wise to pause for self-reflection but avoid letting your thoughts slip into avoidance or denial of issues that come into your consciousness. A time-out to reconsider and get a new perspective is well advised especially since we are also in the midst of a Mercury retrograde cycle.

One aspect of enlightenment must be when we finally realize on an experiential level the obstacles we face in life come from within; and external circumstances are merely reflections. That's a good lesson to keep in mind this week. The planets don't 'do' anything to us; neither do other people. Every experience of 'out there' is a reflection of what's 'in here'. Take every opportunity to see the connection.

In this week of celebrations of freedom, liberty and justice for all, declare you own personal independence. See yourself more clearly; qualities and quirks alike. Celebrate you and celebrate your tribe – whoever they may be.

Until next week, let go and wear loose clothes.

Releases July 2nd ~Cori
Blurb:
What s better than a knight sweeping you off your feet? Two knights.

Silla is a healer riding circuit on the border, helping those in need. When she hears the pained cries of a dragon in distress, she comes to his aid, using most of her precious supplies to help the badly injured creature.

The dragon s knight, Brodie, is fascinated by the woman the miracle worker who has come to help his friend. She is both beautiful and kind hearted and he quickly realizes she is his destined mate. And if she is Brodie s mate, she is Geoff s as well, for Brodie s dragon was mated to Geoff s dragon many years ago.

Geoff doesn t believe in the tales of love at first sight among knights, but he knows that when either he or Brodie finds a wife, they will share her. Hearing about the dragon s injury, Geoff and his dragon race to help, only to find the dragon on the mend and Brodie in bed with the most stunning woman Geoff has ever seen.

Love at first sight turns out to be real and it strikes them all as they come together and realize that no matter what the obstacles, they are meant to be together. Silla is the missing link that will join their lives and make them a true Lair family.

Warning: Knights like to get frisky and these two are no exception. Beware the passion, playfulness, a bit of bondage and a whole lot of three-way loving with a tiny bit of exhibitionism thrown in for good measure

~ The Zohar :: Breakdown

Vaetchanan

1. "but you shall meditate therein day and night"

Rabbi Yosi emphasizes the deep importance of meditating constantly on the Torah. He says that people must accept upon themselves the yoke of the kingdom of heaven when they go to sleep since everyone tastes death at night.

1. "And I besought Hashem at that time, saying, Adonai Elohim, You began to show Your servant" (Devarim 3:23-24). Rabbi Yosi opened with, "Then Hezekiah turned his face toward the wall, and prayed to Hashem" (Yeshayah 38:2). Come and see how powerful is the force of the Torah and how superior it is to anything else. For whoever is occupied with the Torah does not fear the higher or lower beings, nor fear evil incidents in the work, because he is attached to the Tree of Life, WHICH IS THE TORAH, and daily eats from it.

~~ My Comments

Many people fail to understand the Zohar and it's inner meanings. However, the Zohar, like the Torah, is a text which only speaks about energy from it's most root Source through it's emanation, creation, formation and realization in various gradual densities which it calls 'worlds', right down into this 3D experience, the most dense experience of this Root Energy.

When the Zohar uses words like 'meditating constantly on the Torah' above, it is not simply suggesting to physically read the Torah. Torah is a state of being, Torah is the bridge used to achieve adhesion with the Divine states of consciousness. Yes there are analogies within the book called 'Torah' but all of these stories are conveying the process of inner adhesion with Light or life energy which emanates from Source or God called the Limitless, Infinite or literally 'No End' (Ein Sof) in Kabbalah. Torah is being in the correct state to accept this adhesion with Source Light (called Ohr in Hebrew)

Let's look at the Zohar a little closer:

"... must accept upon themselves the yoke of the Kingdom of Heaven..."

A 'Yoke' is a support bar which aligns or unites one thing with another, like two ox which must stay aligned to work together in the fields. Accepting the yoke of the Kingdom means we must align our body, heart and mind with their Root (the Upper) We have to create within ourselves this yoke with the Upper Providence, it will not make this effort for us. So therefore it's up to each person to make the choice and align through proper meditation and enter the state called 'Torah'.

"... since everyone tastes death at night."

Why? Because before we have created within ourselves a state of our pure heightened awareness (called spirituality in mysticism) we enter into a totally unconscious state during sleep which is called 'death'. The purpose of life is to create higher states of conscious awareness which means a more powerful Will, called a Masach or Screen in Kabbalah. This screen isn't built through thoughts or emotions, ambitions or force, this Will is given to us from Above when we accept the Yoke of the Kingdom; meaning when we align ourselves properly to It. Through this alignments (called proper meditation) we yoke ourselves to the Kingdom of Heaven (again just a term meaning the higher Root awareness or Source Energy) and in this process we allow the Source to become more pure, heightening and strengthening the energy within our mind, heart and body - this stronger Light (energy) increases our Will/Strength over time. When Will or Strength gets to a certain level, we no longer face 'Death' at night when we sleep because we hold onto our awareness even into dreams, and more importantly after Death thus breaking the bonds of the cycle of incarnations here in this world.

Rabbi Yosi opened with, "Then Hezekiah turned his face toward the wall, and prayed to Hashem"

This is not the 'Western Wall' of the Temple or any other physical place here on Earth as most think today. The Zohar is not speaking about physical locations here in this reality, it is describing spiritual (subtle energy) locations within the body, heart, mind and soul called Asiyah, Yetzirah, Beriyah and Atzilut. When Hezekiah 'turns', this means to look inwardly during meditation. The 'Wall' is the veil of spiritual blackness we encounter. 'Prayed' means to meditate, to annul yourself within, to align with the Higher Aspect correctly.

"Come and see how powerful is the force of the Torah..."

The 'force of Torah' simply means how powerful this state of being is, to be aligned with the Divine Pure Awareness above. 'Come and See' is a Jewish term called Boreh; it means you must take action (COME) to reveal the Creating Force (SEE).

"For whoever is occupied with the Torah does not fear the higher or lower beings, nor fear evil incidents in the work, because he is attached to the Tree of Life, WHICH IS THE TORAH, and daily eats from it."

'occupied with the Torah' again means being in the state of 'Torah' which is a clinging to the Tree of Life. There is no fear (which is the Pillar of Severity or imbalance) because you have cleaved to the Higher One (the Middle Pillar in total balance within) by using the Tree of Life (WHICH IS THE TORAH process within)

Eating daily from the Tree of Life (the Torah) is the process by which we take the 'fruits' of the Tree (a process within) and return them back into ONENESS ENERGY.

How? When a Root Energy densifies into a seed this becomes a root, becomes a trunk, becomes a tree, becomes a fruit and then a human 'eats' this fruit he chews it, breaks it down in his stomach and by breaking it down returns the fruit back into the subtle energy it was in prior to its formation as a seed.

This is called 'Eating' and it means that we must take the "SEED" within ourselves and break it back down into energy as well. The Tree of Life in within us; Each day there is a process whereby the Root Energy densities in the realm of the mind, then densified in the realm of the heart, then densifies into the realm of the germinal vesicle and forms a seed. Now that seed can fall from the Tree and form another Tree, called the 'Fruit of my loins' (a child) or that seed can be returned to Source which is called T'shuvah (Turning back to God)

Returning that seed back into Route Energy is the secret key of the Torah and what the Zohar (and many mystical traditions) are describing.

"We can smile, breathe, walk, and eat our meals in a way that allows us to be in touch with the abundance of happiness that is available. We are very good at preparing to live, but not very good at living. We know how to sacrifice ten years for a diploma, and we are willing to work very hard to get a job, a car, a house, and so on. But we have difficulty remembering that we are alive in the present moment, the only moment there is for us to be alive. Every breath we take, every step we make, can be filled with peace, joy, and serenity. We need only to be awake, alive in the present moment."

June 30th

The need to express the individual self within the tribe may strike a chord. This may bring about a strong will within that shoots outward; we just don't want things to be the way they used to be because inward new found cells have found space.

Feeling like it is important to hold ground not just for personal growth but also for the underdog helps us to realize just what it means to stand on two feet.

The grand water trine is still flowing, so emotions run deep around the family and how we nurture the personal gems of growth. Again, it is always a choice as to how we respond to the actions of others. Do we do the shadow dance? or do we sit knowing it is time for change?

Life is rich with experience these days. We are in the midst of seeing shifts like never before on Earth, and we cannot separate our own stardust from that of the great mother. So know it is meant to be; we came to be part of something much bigger than the individual self, but it doesn't mean we shouldn't claim who we are. The more we become a whole person, the more collective our drive becomes.

Tip Of The Day

This Week With Venus and Romance & Relationships

Venus is in Leo from June 27-July 22. Romance becomes an end in itself during this cycle. It marks a time when love, creativity, and self-expression satisfy a deep yearning to be appreciated and admired - needed, even. A flashy, flirty, stylish splash of color and warmth characterizes this cycle. Love is magnificent and grand! We take pride in love, and we are generous with our money as well. This is a warmhearted, teasing, expressive, proud, and extravagant placement for Venus. Love is a bit of a game--a game that is perpetual, as Venus in Leo is forever stuck in the romance stage of a relationship. We feed on attention, acknowledgement, validation, and adoration. Venus in Leo loves to be adored, pampered, and admired. Pride and passion are hallmarks of this cycle. We have a strong ego investment in our love lives during this period. The negative expression of this placement is overstating our f...Continue Reading
