Samhain Blessings

The witch who owns this hat must have a few fashion spells up her sleeve. To make the chic hat, start with a 3-7/8x8-7/8-inch plastic-foam cone. Cut black silk flowers, leaving a 1-inch stem. Beginning at the top, insert the flowers into the cone. (You could also hot-glue them to the cone.) For the brim, cut an 11-12-inch circle from thin cardboard (a recycled cereal box works great) and paint it black; let dry. Hot-glue the cone to the center of the circle and add purple flowers around the base of the cone.

'Twas the Night Before Samhain'

Twas' the night of Samhain and all thought the house,
Every creature was stirring, yes even that mouse;

The jack o'lanterns were hung about with great care,
In hopes the fall fairies soon would be there;
The children were dressed in their spookiest wear,
For in search of sweet treats on Samhain tis fair;
It's All Hallow's night, so I leaped from my bed,
With thoughts of enchantment running through my head;
When across the moons face a wonder I'd spy,
A Witch on her broom stick up in the sky;
The moon shining on the autumn leaves as they fall,
Gives a feelings of spirits leering within the trees so tall;
When what to my wondering eyes should appear,
But Witches and Wizards coming ever more near;
So I grab my boots and my black cloak quick,
I know in a moment this house they will pick;
More rapid than bats around a grave they came,
They whistled, and shouted, and called me by name;
To the top of the porch! to the top of the wall!
To the house they did come for a Samhain ball!
As dry leaves that before the wild hurricane fly,
We danced and played underneath the dark sky;
Let us gather as friends, carve the pumpkin set near,
This old Haunted House shall give nobody fear;
I was dressed all black, from my head to my foot,
No tarnish on these clothes no ashes or soot;
Our eyes how they twinkled! Our hearts filled with delight!
As we called forth spirits on this Samhain night!
When we had finished our magickal spell,
Around the cauldron some stories of monsters we’d tell;
But soon as with time, it will rush quickly by,
Our party was ending and home the witches did fly.
But I heard them exclaim, ere they flew out of sight,
"Samhain blessing to all and to all a good night."

House Cleansing Ritual

To cleanse your entire house of negative energy

1. Take a large bowl of salt, and sprinkle a pinch or two over all external doorways and windows.

2. Choose the room that has the most negative feeling. You may cast a circle for this part, but it's not really necessary. In that room, light a white candle, and in a large fireproof bowl combine 1 tablespoon each of powdered garlic, dried peppermint, ground clove, dried/powdered thistle, a handful of dried sweetgrass, and a handful of sage or oak leaves.

3. Carefully light the mixture, so that it smolders and gives off an aromatic smoke.

4. Leaving the white candle lit and in that room, carry the bowl into each room, and repeat the following:

In the name of the Eternal Lady and Lord I bid thee part.
I consecrate and clear this space.
Let nothing but joy linger here.

5. When you have done each room, return to where you began, leaving the mixture to smolder until it goes out. Once it does, you may extinguish the candle and take the ash from the mixture outside and sprinkle it on the ground, returning it to the Mother.

‎~ The Two Must Become One

Everything in our reality, what we experience within and without, is made up of the waves vibrations of positive and negative energies, or yin and yang or solar and lunar or ida and pingala, or right and left, or electricity and magnetism, or chi and chi ching, the Mother and Father, Prince and Princess, etc whatever names we want to give to them is irrelevant, they are the universal law and the underlying master keys contained within all esoteric wisdom.

The process or Path to influence, unify and utilize these energies goes by many different names, Yoga, Alchemy, Kabbalah, Hermetica, Magick, Taoism, Buddhism, etc but they are really speaking about the same process of inner-standing.

Unifying these energies within is the key process by which we achieve higher degrees of illumination and infinite growth and expansion of consciousness; there is no other spiritual method beyond this process regardless of how each group chooses to clothe their teaching. Some use the terms 'gods', others use chemical terms and yet others use legends and tales or astrological concepts. In the end however, we find that we're all universally built in common parts and we come from One Source of dynamic every-lasting energy that is called the One, Unique and Unified. Therefore, the only differences between each human is the conscious level by which they have achieved understanding of this universal principal and the degree to which they have learned to utilize it; there are no other differences between our minds, hearts or bodies - we are truly under the influence of the One Source of Light.

The Path of Illumination can easily be related to the Hermetic axiom "know thyself" because once we understand who and what we are and the infinite energy by which we already possess we can become gods and begin to influence the reality around us, rather then be influenced by it.

Once this principal of inner-energy is thoroughly understood, the Path is simply a constant growing of deeper awareness of the utilization of this infinite energy which can be applied to a wide variety of functions; Healing, vitality, universal connection, spiritual insights, astral projection, influence, (siddhis) etc.

The Caduceus has been used as a major key within all ancient wisdom in various ways, the great staff of Hermes, that rod of Tehuti, the great Tree of Life in Kabbalah, the nadi system in Yoga, the furnace in Alchemy, etc. For example; Imagine for a moment the two great energies driving up the spine to the brain bringing an 'arc' of illumination to the mind and whole body as we see in Western Medicine and Alchemy... now picture looking down on that process of intertwining energy and you would recognize another well known symbol from across the world.

‎~ The Apple and the Great Fall

In the spiritual place called the Garden of Eden, Eve (Chavah) was said to be tempted by a serpent which beguiled her into eating from the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil.

This serpent represents what is well known by the ancients as the inner cosmic serpent, the great dragon or the two forces of opposing energy called Ida and Pingala or Right and Left or known as Aza and Azael in the Zohar.

Before the 'Fall' this energy circuit was circulating perfectly within Adam and Eve. It moved throughout their bodies in total harmony keeping them both totally aware and conscious of the higher spiritual realities surrounding them.

However, once this 'apple' was eaten from the Tree (meaning the breaking of the great circuit of infinite energy called the breaking of the vessels in Kabbalah) Adam and Eve 'Fell' from this spiritual place into a more dense 3D environment called Earth. Here they lost the memory of who they really are and the sight they used to reveal the spiritual worlds, the direct relationship with the All was now totally concealed.

We see this story is trying to show us that the disconnection of this vital energy circuit was the result of misusing vital energy within. Once this circuit was broken (spilled) the man and woman lost their unity with the system and fell into (spiritual) death, decay and suffering here in this temporal world.

Now it is up to each soul to repair this broken circuit and harness this energy in a more productive way correcting the breaking and healing this lack of sight. This is the only way for a soul to break free from the endless incarnations here and restore the lost (Da'at) Knowledge that is currently lacking in this lower reality. Our work involves a re-connection of energy, a unifying of inner polarity and no matter how obscure, arcane and clothed the mysteries are written they all speak of this one process and nothing more ♥
