Pagans Share Stories of September 11 on 11th Anniversary
On Tuesday, September 11, 2012, from 9-10 pm EDT, Pagan Priestesses Selena Fox, Senior Minister of Circle Sanctuary, and Terry Comparetta-Wagner, Membership Director of the Garden State Pagan Alliance, will facilitate a special program of remembrance and healing, “Pagan Voices of 9/11” on internet radio.
Pagans were among those killed in the attacks. Pagans were among those who lost loved ones in the attacks. Pagans were among those doing rescue and recovery. And, Pagans are among those who have been engaged in counseling, interfaith memorial services, and other healing and support work since the attacks.
“We are doing this show to aid the remembrance, healing, and renewal process, and to document some of the memories and perspectives of Wiccans, Druids, Heathens, and other Pagans impacted by 9/11,” says Selena Fox, the host of the weekly radio show, Circle Craft Study, airing this special.
Fox will share some of her own experiences providing 9/11 counseling support to Pagans and those of other religions, spiritualities, and philosophies. She also will talk about her work creating and facilitating interfaith memorial ceremonies on the day following the attack and in the years since.
Terry Comparetta-Wagner of New Jersey, who worked in the World Trade Center and lost friends and colleagues in the attacks, will talk about her own healing journey and her work in helping others with their own healing processes.
Joining them on the program will be Circle Sanctuary ministers and U.S. Navy veterans David and Jeanet Ewing of Potomac Circle Ministries in Virginia who are part of the show’s production team. In addition, others will be joining in the show through call-in.
